Welcome To The

DOG INN

WHALLEY

A warm welcome to the

DOG INN

WHALLEY

The Dog Inn is a warm and welcoming pub, located in Whalley, Lancashire.  A seventeenth century pub, with the date 1641 over the door, this is Whalley’s oldest pub. It was originally called the Spotted Dog and was a farmhouse up to the 19th century and sold only beer.  At some point it expanded into the shop premises next door.  You can see on the inside that it was once two different premises.

We offer traditional, locally sourced pub grub – including all the chef specials from the past, with a few new additions. This includes a special children’s menu, for our younger diners.

The bar has a large selection of drinks available, including bean to cup coffee, premium spirits and an extensive wine list. We stock 6 cask ales, that are changed regularly. Also available are 5 different lagers, John Smiths, Neck Oil & Guinness, 0% Guinness & Heinkeken Lager.
